Choose a work area
The sidebar has eight areas: Home, Plant, Jobs, Work Items, Performance, Quality, Maintenance, and Improvement. Select an area, then use the links above the page to switch views. Only destinations available to your account appear. A detail page keeps its parent area selected.
Ask, Reports, Data, and Alerts are shared tools in the sidebar. Setup and Admin sit at the bottom. Setup holds plant structure, gateways, sources, tags, settings, and devices. Admin holds users, audit history, and your account. Operations is available to platform administrators.
Search and jump
- Press ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux, or select the search button in the header.
- Type a screen, machine, measurement, job, product, note, work item, gateway, or source name.
- Use the arrow keys and Enter, or select a result. Escape closes the palette.
The palette and sidebar use the same screen access settings.
Navigate on a phone or tablet
On a phone, select Open navigation in the header. Choose an area or shared tool to close the drawer and open the destination. Tap the backdrop or press Escape to close without navigating.
On a tablet or desktop, use the rail toggle to choose icons or full labels. Icons leave more space for the page. Each icon has a label on hover and an accessible name. The sidebar stays visible as you scroll long pages. Its list of destinations scrolls separately, with account controls at the bottom.
Home and account access
Home orders its cards around your selected personas, then adds other available summaries. Cards link to their full work area. Your screen access controls which cards and links appear. Home and account controls remain available even when no other screens are selected. Ask opens from the shared tool in the sidebar.
A saved destination takes priority when you sign in. Otherwise, Spall opens an available persona landing page, or Home. Starter mode keeps setup guidance visible and uses the same navigation as Full mode.
